YOUNG VOICES: Children gives thanks for family and friends

Redeemer Lutheran students in second and sixth grades share their thoughts on what they are thankful for this year.

 

Jake Thomas: "I am thankful for freedom because I can have a religion of choice. I am thankful for food because if we didn't have food we wouldn't be alive. I am thankful for living in America, the best country in the world."

Justin Pastucha: "I am thankful for food, water, shelter and family. I am also thankful for sports and electricity. Electricity gives you light and sports are entertaining. Since I have food, I can't become hungry or starve. I have water so I can drink when I'm thirsty. I have family so I can't be alone or left out. I have shelter so I can have a home to live in and be warm."

Emily Moser: "I am thankful for my friends, family, school, parents and teachers too. I mostly like Jesus. I am thankful for wildlife. I am thankful for everything in the world."

Madysen Hackwelder: "I'm thankful for Jesus and school and family because Jesus loves me and my family and school."

Ryan McLane: "I am thankful for chicken, french fries and hot dogs. I am thankful because these things are good to eat."

Terry Terhune: "I am thankful for clothes, shoes, shelter, me, grandma, grandpa, Caitlyn, mom, dad, my room, Jesus, God and everything."

Rachel Leone: "I am thankful for Jesus, family and friends. Jesus created us. My family helps me. Friends keep me company."

Alyssa Slancauskas: "I am thankful for my mother, father, brother and my pets. I am thankful for them because they love me."

Tristen Covington: "I am thankful for my whole family. I am thankful for Jesus, transportation, my toys and games, school and friends. I am thankful for my aunts and cousins. The thing I am most thankful for is mom and dad and my grandpas and grandmas. I am thankful for all that because God made me."

Monica Ormay: "I am thankful for friends, family and Jesus. I am thankful because Jesus died on the cross, my family loves me and friends help me."

Jayme McClaran: "I am thankful for family and friends. I like friends and family because I love them very much."

Kacie Sundo: "I am thankful for my mom and dad and my sister. Also, I am thankful for my friends and for the gifts God provides for me. Thank you for my relatives and my great, wonderful school that God provides for me. Thank you God for all the wonderful things you give me."

Michael Wetmore: "I am thankful for God and my mom. Without her I would not be alive and without God there would be no life."

Addy Wilshire: "I am thankful for my family and friends, our freedom, food, clothing and our house. I am also thankful for my school and my God."

Brianna Nonnenberg: "I am thankful for my family, relatives, God's forgiveness, freedom, friends, shelter and our freedom of religion. I am thankful for all these things because they are really special to me."

Alex Kay: "I am thankful for my family because they are loving and caring. I am thankful for the Steelers because they are a winning team and I like to win."

Jason Pastucha: "I am thankful for freedom, my family and relatives. I am thankful because my family keeps me safe. My family teaches me and guides me."

Jonah Rickus: "I am thankful for a wonderful family and food on Thanksgiving. I am glad we have freedom of religion. Our God has blessed us with many wonderful gifts. I am also thankful for Big Ben Roethlisberger. Go Steelers."

Margo Laboon: "I am thankful for God's forgiveness and his love for us. My love for Jesus is overflowing because he is the one who provides us with freedom of religion and freedom of speech. There are also some other things that I am thankful for, like my family and friends, food and shelter. I think everyone should be thankful for God because he is the one who provides us with these wonderful things. Be thankful."
