Music
"Sing to
Him, sing praise to Him; tell of all His wonderful acts."
(1 Chronicles 16:9)
Redeemer is a singing
church. In our worship services,
we offer praise to God, our Creator, our Redeemer,
our Sanctifier. We also teach our Christian faith
and build one another up as we speak to one another
in psalms and hymns. Our worship of Him is
further enhanced through the following music offerings.
Senior Choir
- Our adult choir combines voices in four-part harmony and
consists of men and women from high school age and up. The Senior
Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 and offers musical
anthems of a traditional style regularly in the worship services.
Handbell Choir
- Our handbell choir is made up of men and women and youth. Our
instruments are two octaves of English bells. Rehearsals are on
Wednesday evenings at 6:30. The Handbell Choir offers music at
least once a month, sometimes combining music with the Senior
Choir.
Praise Him Choir
- As education and music are both an integral part of Redeemer's
ministry, children of our Christian Day School have an opportunity to join
the school choir and sing on occasion in our worship service.
Cantors -
Cantors are used singing the Introit responsively with the
congregation on communion Sundays.
Music Committee
- An Organ and Music Committee, as with all committees, is
appointed by the President of our congregation to oversee the
Music Department's activities.
